What we Believe
Salvation
Salvation is by grace through faith.
Ephesians 2:8 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Romans 6:23 (KJV) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
our Lord.
Works cannot earn salvation.
Romans 3:10 (KJV) As it is written. There is none righteous, no, not one.
Ephesians 2:9 (KJV) Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Mankind's natural state is separation from God.
Romans 5:12 (KJV) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Jesus Christ has paid the price for sin.
John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:8 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us.

All who call upon the name of the Lord are saved.
Romans 10:13 (KJV) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
Baptism
Baptism is a picture of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
Romans 6:3-5 (KJV) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Baptism is by immersion.
John 3:23 (KJV) And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
Acts 8:38 (KJV) And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Baptism does not earn salvation.
Acts 8:36-37 (KJV) And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Baptism is an act of obedience.
Acts 2:41 (KJV) Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Proper authority is necessary for scriptural Baptism.
Matthew 28:18-19 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

the church
The Church is a body of baptized believers.
1 Corinthians 12:27 (KJV) Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Acts 2:41 (KJV) Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Christ is the Head of the church.
Ephesians (5:23) (KJV) For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

The Church is the visible Body of Christ.
Ephesians 1:22-23 (KJV) And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things
to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Ephesians 5:30 (KJV) For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

The Church's purpose is to carry out the Great Commission.
Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
1 Timothy 3:15 (KJV) But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

The Church has two offices, pastor and deacon.
1 Timothy 3:1 (KJV) This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
1 Timothy 3:31 (KJV) For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
The bible
The Bible is the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testaments.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

The Bible is the only rule for faith and practice.
2 Peter 1:20 (KJV) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

The process of inspiration ceased with the writing of the original manuscripts, or autographa. The Textus Receptus is essentially the preserved autographa and the 1611 King James Authorized Version is an accurate and trustworthy translation of the Textus Receptus for the English language.
1 Peter 1:23 (KJV) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
the godhead
The Godhead, or Trinity, is the Father, the Son (the Word), and the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit).
1 John 5:7-8 (KJV) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
John 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

These three Persons have the same essence, nature, perfection, and attributes.
Matthew 28:19 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
John 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 14:26 (KJV) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 15:26 (KJV) But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
God, in all three Persons, is the eternal and infinite Sovereign Creator of all.
1 Chronicles 29:11-12 (KJV) Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
Psalms 103:19 (KJV) The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
The lord's supper
The Lord's Supper is a memorial of Christ's death.
1 Corinthians 11:24 (KJV) And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1 Corinthians 11:25 (KJV) After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

The Lord's Supper is to be observed until His return.
1 Corinthians 11:26 (KJV) For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till he come.

The Lord's Supper is for members only.
Luke 22:14 (KJV) And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

The Lord's Supper is a means to keep the church pure.
1 Corinthians 11:27-30 (KJV) Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

The elements of the Lord's Supper are unleavened bread and grape juice.
Unleavened bread represents the sinless body of Christ and grape juice (fruit of the vine) represents the pure blood of Christ. The absence of leaven and fermentation represents the absence of sin.
1 Corinthians 5:7-8 (KJV) Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Luke 22:20 (KJV) Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
